Stand as a Lighthouse

 I began my journey towards a better me in the wake of tragedy.  I felt a new sense of awareness and empathy for what was taking place around me on a local and global scale; I could literally feel the pain of the world.  I felt as if I needed to change my way of being if I ever hoped to affect change in a positive direction.  I recognized that I could no longer add to the burden of our Earthly existence, for the sake of myself and future generations.  I knew that the safety of my slumber was no longer acceptable and that I needed to Wake-Up.

I realize that my posts are not the exact story of those reading my words, yet I am compelled to share my heart none-the-less.  I am truly humbled by the support I have received thus far, as I know that you are there sharing in my journey.  I can also feel that you see the truth behind my words and know that although my struggles may be different, they are very real.  Truth is... we ALL have struggles that we face on a daily basis.  Whether it is watching the declined health of someone you hold dear, feeling the weight of struggle over financial burden, emotional baggage from past and present events, struggling with pains from weakening under the plight of holding onto something that begs to be released; amongst so many other trials that life can bring.  Yet when we flip the coin over and squint to see the silver lining, we can discover that after a while what we once saw as difficult in finding positivity in what we previously labeled as a bad situation, we can relax our eyes to see plainly.

Again, I don't aim to suggest that any of this is as simple as typing the words onto this screen because we all know better.  Yet and again, that which is easy is rarely worth much.  So today, yesterday and tomorrow... I don't share my story to serve as an instructional manual, but I do aim to Stand as a Lighthouse and serve as a beacon of hope... Let the light that I cast give you enough internal clarity so that you may find your own safe passage and in turn, avoid colliding into the rocks of life.
