Reflection on Actions

Ever have a moment of reflection and realize that a single action can somehow negate a lifetime?

Sometimes I am forced to wonder about the motives that drive individuals to be so callous towards one another.  I do realize that I am projecting my behaviors and expectations (see Set up for Failure) onto those around me, yet I am left to ponder...  Why am I not included in certain considerations?  Do I not matter?  Or is it the action in itself that is truly inconsequential?

All of this to say... we must be mindful of our behavior as it relates to those we love.  If it is not our intention to cause emotional pain (regardless of intensity); then we need but follow the Golden Rule when planning our actions.

Take a moment to have Reflection on Actions.  Those of yourself and those of your neighbors and friends.  What do those actions tell you?  Are you allowing compassion into your judgments?... Or are you simply allowing ego to lead the way?

Remember, a single candle can hold enough strength to bring light to an entire room.  Allow your actions to serve as that light amongst the darkness.

*Be the change you wish to see in the world*
